Tell Better Stories and Create Videos That Feel Like a Movie.

Stop wasting hours shooting clips that nobody cares about. I'll show you exactly how to make short-form videos that feel cinematic, tell unforgettable stories, and grab brands' attention-without needing expensive gear or film-school bullshit.

"THIS ISN'T YOUR AVERAGE  FILM SCHOOL BS"

Look, let’s be real: You've scrolled through Instagram and TikTok, and thought to yourself:

"How the hell are they making their videos look so damn cinematic?"

What if you could actually film like that?

Imagine making short-form videos that stop people mid-scroll, captivate instantly, and actually make them feel something—without having to figure it all out on your own.

The moment everything fell apart

Imagine waking up one day realising you have nothing.

No job. No money. No plan.

That was me in August 2017.

28 years old, watching friends build careers, buy homes, start families, and travel the world. Meanwhile, I was moving out because I couldn't afford rent.

My girlfriend had left, and my tiny red car was barely running. All I felt was this gut-wrenching sense of falling behind.

I vividly remember sitting on the floor of an empty room, wishing someone would rescue me. But no one was coming.

If I wanted out, I had to build my own way.

From lost to millions of views & a 6-figure income: Why I built this

I'VE BEEN
WHERE YOU ARE

The most ridiculous decision of my life

With almost nothing left in my bank account, I made a decision that seemed insane—I bought a drone.

Reckless, maybe. Stupid, probably. But something told me to just try.

Weeks later, I was guiding school camps, kayaking down remote rivers, and filming with my phone and drone during breaks. I'd return home and spend days teaching myself how to edit.

My early videos were rough, but schools loved them—they'd never seen anything like it.

Two months in, an expedition company paid me $1,500 for my footage. I stared at the screen in disbelief.

That moment changed everything.

The brutal, frustrating learning curve

More projects came, yet each video felt like an uphill battle. I devoured YouTube tutorials—Casey Neistat, Peter McKinnon, Sam Kolder—and overloaded my videos with trendy effects, convinced I was crushing it. I wasn’t.

The trends quickly faded, leaving me without a true filmmaking foundation.

I didn’t know how to visually craft stories, use lighting purposefully, or edit timelessly. It was a painfully slow process of trial and error, figuring out every detail project by project.

Gradually, as I honed my skills, I began leading teams and filming longer expeditions overseas, experimenting with storytelling techniques.

Soon, I was creating documentaries featuring athletes, artists, and short films—each a painstaking labor of love, each a step forward in figuring out the craft.

Why I built The Shots Guide

I built The Shots Guide for the version of me who dreamed of creating stories but was juggling extra jobs as a chef between guiding trips just to make ends meet.

Years later, teaching workshops, I saw students facing the same frustrations I had—leaving inspired, but quickly overwhelmed once home, trying to piece together incomplete notes.

I wanted something real for them, something tangible and reliable beyond scribbles in a notebook.

That's why I created The Shots Guide: to offer a proven toolkit and a solid filmmaking foundation that creators could truly rely on.

This is the resource I wish I had

The Shots Guide ISN'T built on fleeting trends.

It’s rooted in timeless techniques based on human psychology. And it works.

My videos consistently hit 1M+ views, and I gained over 200K followers in a single year.

The broke, frustrated version of myself back in 2017 would've hugged me for making this affordable.

If you’re serious about creating cinematic, purposeful, and genuinely impactful videos without wasting years on trial-and-error, this is exactly what you need.
